The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company by managing accounting activities, financial planning, risk management, and compliance. This role involves preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, ensuring regulatory adherence, and developing strategies for financial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop financial strategies to support business objectives.
- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Conduct financial modeling to support decision-making.
Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
- Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and payable.
Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, tax regulations, and company procedures.
- Manage internal controls and conduct risk assessments.
- Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders.
Cost & Budget Control:
- Optimize costs by analyzing expenditure trends and financial efficiencies.
- Lead budgeting processes and financial planning initiatives.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication:
- Supervise finance team members and provide professional guidance.
- Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams on financial matters.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s/MBA is a plus).
Experience: 5+ years in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
Certifications: CPA, CFA, or ACCA preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software (SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
