We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to join our new branch in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with a strong background in compliance and a proven track record in handling applications for an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).

Key Responsibilities:

EMI Application Process:

  • Lead the application process for obtaining the EMI license from SAMA.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with SAMA regarding the EMI application.
  • Prepare, review, and submit all required documentation for the EMI application, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Compliance Department Oversight:

  • Oversee the development of the Compliance department, including hiring, training, and managing compliance staff.
  • Establish and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Compliance department and make improvements as necessary.

Regulatory and Financial Compliance:

  • Ensure that the company complies with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in local and international regulations and advise the company on necessary actions.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all compliance activities and communications with regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on compliance status and issues to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain a compliance calendar to track important deadlines and regulatory filings.

Qualifications:

  • Saudi national with a few years of experience in senior compliance roles within the financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in applying for an EMI license with SAMA.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work on an hourly basis to prepare the initial set of documents for the EMI application.
