Primary purpose of my role was to be accountable for the procurement process of essentia materials and services from over 10 of our suppliers.
• Responsible for monitoring all procurement and supply chain activities for a 20 Million product pipeline.
worked to establish and maintain relationships with major suppliers and appropriate representatives.
• Worked with suppliers to identify local vendors to improve procurement for critical
parts, material or services. Thus, allow a reduction in delivery times, along with savings in purchases.
• Planed, scheduled, and monitored the movement of stock, monitor all contractor shipments
and provide recommendations to expedite shipments at minimal cost. This approach results in a daily savings and reduction in expense and often reduction in the critical path.
• Established long term strategies to improve supply chain process, identify project risks, and address scheduling and shortage issues as well as strengthen supplier relationships.
• Proactively Identified problem areas and offered corrective action to solve issues seamlessly.
• Expedited orders as necessary. Identified actual and potential delivery problems and took proactive steps to inform appropriate personnel.
• Proactively verified data accuracy for prices, quantity, lead time and shelf Life of products.
• Used open purchase order reports in ordering parts used in production to ensure appropriate delivery dates.
• Issued undertaken letters to either Saudi Food & Drug Authority or Saudi Customs to ensure the goods will not be used.
• Informed suppliers of their expired and damaged items.
• Coordinated with Saudi Environment Protection Company to destruct the expired goods.
• Re-export the goods which not matching with terms and conditions.
