In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fitness equipment, ensuring that it functions optimally for our clients. The Fitness Equipment Technician plays a vital role in providing quality service and support to our customers in the fitness industry.
Responsibilities:
- Installation: Safely and accurately install various types of fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, and cardiovascular machines
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on fitness equipment to prevent issues and ensure longevity.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems in fitness equipment, ensuring they are returned to working condition.
- Testing: Perform operational tests on repaired equipment to verify that they meet safety and performance standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service requests.
- Parts Inventory: Manage an inventory of replacement parts and order supplies as needed for repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in fitness equipment maintenance or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in fitness equipment maintenance, repair, or a similar technical field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with fitness equipment brands and models.
- Tools: Proficiency with various hand and power tools used in equipment maintenance and repair.
