BAKHASHAB has some ancient fascinating story in the field of transportation business. Late Sheikh Mohammed Abubakr Bakhashab Pasha, the founder and the pioneer of BAKHASHAB establishments who commenced the transport services as the carrier of Hajj pilgrims between Jeddah and Mecca through his large fleet of passenger buses.
In 1948 He started the marine transport under the name SAUDI LINES with a fleet of 18 marine vessels consisting of passengers ferries, cargo vessels, oil tankers and live stock carriers. In 1951 when oil was discovered at Dhahran in the eastern province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , aiming at trading transportation business, Sheikh Pasha has registered an establishment under the name of M/s. Mohammed Abubakr Bakhashab Pasha Est.
The main activities of the company were all forms of transportation services across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and GCC. The company has mainly provided extensive transportation services to Saudi Arabian oil Co. , (SAUDI ARAMCO) Dhahran in the form of long and short term dedicated and spot hire contracts. The company own a huge number of heavy-duty tractors and trailers of 6x6, 6x4 and 4x2 configurations of Volvo and Renault brands and heavy duty equipment of water and oil tankers and all these fleet were engaged in Saudi Aramco contract operations. Many fleet of FORD brand of passenger buses and sedans were operated to carry Saudi Aramco employees between Aramco job sites in the eastern province.
In the year 1975, the company has procured the exclusive dealership of ISUZU commercial and passenger vehicles in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia with M/s. General Motors Overseas Distribution Corporation. Later it became as Isuzu Motors Overseas Distribution Corporation and currently identified as Isuzu Motors Limited, Tokyo Japan . The company was commercially registered as Bakhashab Transport & Trading Co., in the year 1979 with a paid-up capita! Of SR. 8,000,000/-
In the year 1980 besides ISUZU and transport business, the company obtained an agency of ' KOBE ' batteries of Japanese origin and holds the battery agency until 1984. In the year 1983, the company has secured the sole distributorship of ISUZU commercial and passenger vehicles in the western province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the registered name of M/s. Bakhashab Brothers Co., Ltd., Jeddah. In the same year company has extended branch offices at Riyadh and Jeddah for Bakhashab Transport & Trading Co.,Ltd. to fulfill the job of Saudi Aramco contracts in the central and western province of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . In 1983, company also established another local transportation company under the name of M/s. Saudi Land Transport Co.,Ltd. in Jeddah aiming at local transportation services in the western province of Saudi Arabia.
Besides transport services to Saudi Aramco, the company has provided extensive transport services to SCECO and Saudi Telephones in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia,. BAKHASHAB was the 1st transport contractor for SCECO in the eastern province. The company has provided 7 consecutive yeas of services to Rahima Poultry Farm, based in Dammam industrial area during 1989 and 1986. The other leading private clients were M/s. Coca-Cola Bottling Co., of Saudi Arabia Ltd., Al-Zamil Air-condition Group of cCompanies, Binzager Group of Companies etc. The company has auspiciously established its place and market share in the transport sector.
