Mars first introduced our products to the Middle East in the 1960s through our export sales business based out of the United Kingdom. Consumers loved our products and our business grew; by 1983 we decided to partner with a local distributor to improve our route to market. Ten years later, in 1993, we established our first Mars office in Dubai, and fourteen pioneering associates set up shop to begin bringing more special moments and smiles to the region.

Over 50 years later, we have continued to deliver on our promise to bring high quality products to our consumers. With favorite brands like GALAXY, SNICKERS, TWIX and M&M’s from our Chocolate segment; 5, DOUBLEMINT, EXTRA, ORBIT, and SKITTLES from our Wrigley segment; and PEDIGREE, WHISKAS and SHEBA from our Pet Care segment, we strive every day to ensure we are exceeding the expectations of our consumers.

In addition to our market presence, we are proud that we now have three state of the art manufacturing facilities throughout the Middle East. This means we are investing economically (through infrastructure and employment) in the communities where we sell our products, building world-class manufacturing capabilities, and bringing the freshest products to market. Our factories are located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (built in 1998); 6th October City, Egypt (built in 2005); and King Abdullah Economic City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (built in 2013). Together, these factories supply products to regional markets in the Middle East and North Africa as well as exports to India, Asia, and Europe.
