We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to join our new branch in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be a Saudi national with a strong background in compliance and a proven track record in handling applications for an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
Key Responsibilities:
EMI Application Process:
- Lead the application process for obtaining the EMI license from SAMA.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with SAMA regarding the EMI application.
- Prepare, review, and submit all required documentation for the EMI application, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Compliance Department Oversight:
- Oversee the development of the Compliance department, including hiring, training, and managing compliance staff.
- Establish and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the Compliance department and make improvements as necessary.
Regulatory and Financial Compliance:
- Ensure that the company complies with all applicable regulatory and financial compliance requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in local and international regulations and advise the company on necessary actions.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive records of all compliance activities and communications with regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on compliance status and issues to senior management.
- Develop and maintain a compliance calendar to track important deadlines and regulatory filings.
Qualifications:
- Saudi national with a few years of experience in senior compliance roles within the financial services industry.
- Proven experience in applying for an EMI license with SAMA.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work on an hourly basis to prepare the initial set of documents for the EMI application.
