Position Overview:
As a Merchandise Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maximizing the profitability of the Market Retail. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the right products are available in the right quantities, meeting both sales and stock objectives. This role offers a unique blend of strategic planning, in-depth analysis, and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement key strategic priorities in alignment with the company and Market Merchandising framework.
- Conduct comprehensive analysis for efficient product buying from Factory Outlet Range.
- Ensure timely stock list buys and manage stock movement within stores and DC.
- Provide actionable insights based on analysis of best and worst sellers.
- Plan and execute promotional calendars, markdown strategies, and adjust plans based on stock situations.
- Collaborate closely with SCM for optimal merchandise flow to stores.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, providing product feedback and insights.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Economics, or related field.
- 3-4 years of merchandising experience in a similar capacity.
- Advanced Excel skills and understanding of retail management systems.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment and meet deadlines.
